MY OFFICE DIARIES

Have you ever been caught in a lie?
It can be embarrassing, especially when it wasn’t planned properly or the person you’re lying to is your supervisor or line manager and is smarter than you give them credit for.
The best way to NOT be caught in a lie is this: Don’t lie! Very simple right?
How many of us can actually say we have never lied to our colleagues or managers or team leads? Please let us know if you have so that we learn from you.
But if you have and you always feel tempted to, you can stop the habit by just avoiding situations that could warrant you to lie to save yourself.
For example, do not come late to work. If you have a target to meet, get it done, or ask for help so that even if you didn’t meet up, there is proof that you tried.
Do not give off too much information. If you’re trying to stay out of trouble, make sure you limit the amount of information you give out. That way you can’t be misquoted.
These are just little things we must do to maintain a clean record while working in an organisation and being the best employees we can be.
