DO YOU SKIP JOB POSTINGS BECAUSE OF YOUR LACK OF EXPERIENCE?

Rumor has it that females tend to do this more than males. That’s when you see a job posting and you know your skills match this position, but it requires a certain number of years of experience.
Why exactly does this happen a lot? Well, the obvious reason is probably because you think too low of yourself or you might just be scared that you’re under-qualified for the position.
While there might be Organisations that ”have a thing” for people with many years of experience, there are lots more that value your expertise and portfolio. If you have done a lot of informal work as a creative, please apply for any job that matches your skillset. Do not be deterred by the number of years of experience required for the job role.
On the other hand, get experience if you so desire, but don’t let that be the determining factor as to whether you would apply for a job or not. You could end up faring better than the individual with no skillset and a lot of years of experience.
