Adebayo Akinloye, Assc.CIPD, ACIPM specializes in all phases of strong internal talent bench-strength & HR strategy—identifying HR & talent-succession needs and goals, metrics, processes, and tools, learning & development to build internal capacity, talent management process, organizational development strategy, talent review process, coaching & development, high potential & leadership development programs, designing assessment & development center, competency framework, performance management process, and building graduate development program to meet specific organizational needs.

He is currently the Director, Global Talent Solutions in ASA Talent & Succession Management Solutions. His responsibility requires him to play a key role in ensuring the overall strategy design, effective execution, and people development interventions meet specific customer needs. The role includes leading and managing global teams of professionals and consultants (including clinical & work psychologists) working with the organization’s clients on various Human Resources consultancy projects and talent solutions to ensure that the proposed solutions, structure & delivery meet acceptable standards, ensuring continuous engagement and improvement in clients’ relationships. He drives the revenue streams & revenue optimization for the business, ensuring that clients’ requests are converted to executable solutions with optimum value while partnering with clients for the long-term business growth and “win-win” benefits. He is also responsible for sourcing, reviewing, and ensuring the right partnership (local & global), world-class talent tools, and solutions to meet specific business & clients’ demands. He is charged with ensuring people capacity building through the required training and project assignments across the business value-chain to meet service standards, speed of execution, and quality expectations of the business’ clients.

With over 16 years’ work experience, including 14 years varied HR Management experience spanning the information technology, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, automotive, earth-moving types of equipment & heavy machinery, manufacturing, and business conglomerate sectors in Nigeria and across Africa, Adebayo has established himself as a highly-skilled HR professional of repute. He is an accredited user of CEB-SHL talent assessment tools. He has significant experience in the development and provisioning of psychological assessment services while working with experienced Industrial, Clinical & Work Psychologists.Adebayo, while leading the global operation and deployment of HR Solutions across different Countries, provides practical advice, consulting, communication materials, workshops, and processes that all HR and business leaders can use – not complex theories and models. He works with both local and global partners & clients from a practitioner’s perspective, based on years of HR, talent-succession & leadership development experience in multi-national, private, and successful family-owned businesses.

He has been exposed to global Human Resources best practices through cognate work experience and various Human Resources seminars, workshops, and training sessions held in Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Mauritius, France, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

Adebayo began his professional career in 1996 as an Accounts/Admin Clerk after obtaining his Marketing Diploma from the University of Jos. This opportunity exposed him to basic office accounts management, petty cash and salaries administration, suppliers’ management, and general office administration. Between 1997 and 2001, he acquired his Bachelor’s Degree in Management Sciences from the University of Jos, after which he spent the next four years working for various companies as a Human Resources Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Business Support Officer, and Consultant on Data Management.

By 2005, Adebayo began honing his HR expertise in Nigeria when he was employed as an HR/Admin Support Officer at Accelon (now IS-Internet Solutions). In this capacity, he was involved with recruitment, fleet management, protocol services, travels, administration, and HR operations. In 2006, he was hired as Employee Services and Development Officer at May
& Baker Nigeria Plc. – this is one of the leading Pharmaceutical & Food Companies with international production standards in Nigeria.  Adebayo was subsequently appointed as Employee Services and
Development Manager of this leading Pharmaceutical & Food Company. In this role, Adebayo had strategic HR responsibility including medical administration, payroll administration, recruitment & selection,
industrial relations, training & development, performance management, as well as workforce planning.

He joined a leading Telecommunications provider, MTN Nigeria in 2007, where at various times he served as Human Resources Advisor, Employee Relations Officer, Learning Delivery Manager, and Learning Solutions Manager. By 2011, Adebayo became the Talent Development Manager at MTN Nigeria, having responsibility for leadership development, talent management, succession planning, talent retention, talent cross-posting assignments, career development, and management of specific talent intervention programs, including the specialist career path and HiPos’ development program. In this role, he successfully worked on the development and deployment of key HR strategic projects, including the bespoke MTN Nigeria career management solution. The solution was designed to foster a sense of
ownership for career management among employees and deploy targeted career path & development interventions.

In 2013, Adebayo was head-hunted by an international recruitment organization based in the United Kingdom for a role in Sudan’s largest and most diversified business conglomerate.  So, I joined DAL Group as the Group’s Career and Succession Planning Manager. This presented a great opportunity to work as an HR expert in a culturally diverse organization and country in North Africa.  One of my notable achievements in my earlier role was the successful design and delivery of a world-class 2-Tier Leadership Development Programme for senior leaders, which aimed to address business and leadership challenges by identifying and developing a pool of high potential leaders to drive the future success and growth ambitions of DAL Group. Just as the saying goes; “reward for a good work is more work”, consequently by 2015, I was promoted into the role of Learning & Talent Development Manager. This was an expanded portfolio which required me to add performance management and end-to-end learning & development responsibilities to my existing responsibilities which included talent management, graduate development program, leadership development, talent assessment, career and succession planning. Remarkably, with my team comprising both local Sudanese and expatriates we were able to develop and deploy several strategic  HR  initiatives including;  the  High-Performance  Culture  Project,  Leadership Development Pipeline Programme for the “feeder pool”, as well as a Graduate Trainee Mentoring Programme to attract, develop and retain young talented graduates of Sudan origin both locally and in the diaspora.

Adebayo returned to Nigeria in 2017 to lead the global operations of ASA Talent & Succession Management Solutions. While leading this organization development and HR consultancy business

processes that all human resources and business leaders can use – not complex theories and models.  He
works with both local and global partners & clients from a practitioner’s perspective, based on years of
human resources, talent-succession & leadership development experience in the multi-national, private and successful family-
owned businesses.

He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD, UK). He is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He holds a diploma in Human Resources Management from Cornell University, the USA, and a Master’s Degree in International Human Resource Management from the prestigious Cranfield University, United Kingdom. Additionally, he holds a post-graduate diploma in “Psychology of Work” from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom.
