iCUBEFARM organizes the third session of the Africa HR Forum – HR Insights Series 2021 on March 19th 2021, in collaboration with the African HR Confederation.

The Government of Equatorial Guinea is hosting the third session of the Africa HR Forum – HR Insights Series 2021 on Friday, 19 March 2021. With the aim of bringing together HR professionals and leaders of the pan-African HR community to exchange information on leading practices and solutions, the Government of Equatorial Guinea, through the Ministry of Labour, Employment Promotion and Social Security, the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reform in collaboration with iCUBEFARM and the African HR Confederation, launched the Africa HR Forum – HR Insights Series, a series of virtual discussions to be held on the third Friday of each month, as a prelude to the Africa HR Forum 2021, which aims to focus on analysing the current state of the Pan-African labour sector, identifying solutions and promoting the development and growth of the Pan-African labour market.

The Africa HR Forum HR Insights Series 2021, organized in collaboration with the African HR Confederation (AHRC), is designed to provoke creative thinking, anticipation, and proactive planning amongst HR and People Management professionals so that they are always ahead of the curve, ready for the next required step in their strategic and operational roles in 2021 and beyond, and are not caught unprepared.

Specifically, the HR Insight Series aims at:

  1. Providing valuable and practical guidelines for tackling day to day operational challenges at work as well as in life in general as these two spheres are closely and intricately woven together in today’s world of work
  2. Provoking new thinking about being operational excellent and a strategic partner to one’s organization as an HR and People Management professional.
  3. Challenging HR and People Management professionals to become more internally and externally collaborative, embrace creativity and design thinking in solving HR and business problems, eagerly use networks from across functional areas, sectors, and organizations by utilizing an econ-systems approach to work and life.
  4. Enable continuous professional development and inculcate a learning organization mentality for continuous improvement.

Sessions will be held on the third Friday of every month. We are currently gearing up for the third session on Friday, March 19th 2021 from 15h GMT +1. This session will be led by Michael Ogu who will be delving into the topic “Managing Organizational Talent in Times of crisis, adversity and change.” In exploring this topic, Michael Ogu will highlight excerpts from his book “Managing your talent for value and visibility.”

Michael Ogu is a Senior HR Executive, Certified Management Consultant, Corporate Trainer and Facilitator, Talent Management Thought Leader and Certified Professional Coach with over a decade of multisector and multidisciplinary work experience cutting across Manufacturing, Health Services, Financial Services, Capital Markets, Transport and Logistics Sectors. Michael is the first Nigerian and African to earn the prestigious Global Talent Management Leader (GTML) Certification from the Talent Management Institute. He is a member of many professional bodies both in Nigeria and abroad, he is also a faculty member for academic and executive education programmes at the Lagos Business School, and is currently the Founder and Global President of the Association of Elite Human Resource Professionals (AEHRP). Michael is the author of the book, Managing Your Talent for Value and Visibility.
